Located in Southeast Asia, Vietnam has an area of 331,051 square kilometers and a population of approximately 100 million. Vietnam is renowned for its glorious history, long-standing and unique culture, fascinating and unusual landscapes, and friendly and hospitable people. Vietnam has accordingly become an attractive destination for tourists and travelers from around the world.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in November 1971, the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Denmark have continuously developed in many areas, including politics, economic, trade and investment, agriculture, culture and education, environment, combating climate change, green growth, renewable energy, sustainable development, to name but a few.
Vietnam and Denmark decided to promote and strengthen the bilateral relations in sectors where both countries have advantages and mutual interests by establishing the Vietnam-Denmark Comprehensive Partnership in 2013 during the state-level visit to Denmark by then-President of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang. Early on, the two countries signed the strategic partnership on climate change, environment, energy, and green growth during the official visit to Vietnam by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Denmark Frederik in 2011. This cooperation has brought about significant results and concrete benefits for both countries and peoples.
I am delighted to be appointed as the Ambassador of Vietnam to the beautiful and friendly country of Denmark, home of the H.C. Andersen's fairy tales, against the backdrop that our bilateral relations are advancing tremendously and enjoying a huge potential for further cooperation. Yet, it gives me a great pleasure to learn that the Vietnamese community in Denmark is united, mutually supportive, and connected, and has fully integrated into and contributed significantly to the friendship and cooperation between our two countries.
I hope that this website can provide you with more understandings of the country, the people, and the culture of Vietnam, and the friendship and strong cooperation between Vietnam and Denmark.
